Northern Trust Sells Vortex House, Wavertree

Northern Trust has announced that it has sold its 22,900 sq ft Vortex House office building at Wavertree Technology Park in Liverpool to Lydiate Learning Trust, a developing network of schools and academies across the North West of England.

Tom Parkinson, Director at Northern Trust commented; “This was an exciting new use for the Wavertree Technology Park and Vortex House will be used as a Studio School, funded by the state, and will offer business and technology courses to 14 to 19 year olds, as well as classes in engineering, accountancy and textiles. It opens this month and the concept is to provide young people with a better, more practical understanding of the world of work before they leave education.”

Northern Trust Completes 41,000 sq ft Acquisition In Peterborough

Northern Trust has announced that it has purchased the multi-let industrial estate, Wulfric Square in Peterborough.

The 41,370 sq ft estate comprises 30 industrial units, 8 of which are long leaseholds; and is located in Bretton, on a busy business park approximately 1 and 3/4 miles north of Peterborough City Centre. The estate offers a range of units from 625 sq ft up to 3,630 sq ft.

Planning Success for Northern Trust Sees Delivery of Over 2,500 Homes

Northern Trust’s Land and Development Division are delighted to announce an extremely positive 6 months with major residential planning permissions across a number of sites. The Company has been successful in securing consent for over 2,500 new houses on a mixture of greenfield and previously developed land.

Six planning permissions have been approved in Lancashire covering more than 2,000 homes, in Blackpool, St Annes, Kirkham, Pilling, Inskip and Singleton; whilst a planning application for 400 houses on a semi derelict industrial estate in North Tyneside has also recently been granted.

A Grand National Opening for the New Retail Development at Carrington Centre

The New Carrington Centre in Eccleston, Chorley was officially opened on Friday 11th April in view of around 200 of the local community; and Grand National winning horses Hedgehunter and Ballabriggs were on site to assist in the proceedings. Hedgehunter won the National race in 2005; whilst Ballabriggs won in 2011.

Planning Permission Granted for New Development at Rainworth

Northern Trust has announced that they have been granted planning permission for a new residential development in Rainworth, Nottinghamshire. The outline plans for the land off Warsop Lane include the provision for up to 130 new homes.
