NORTHERN TRUST LAND HELPS UNLOCK 133-HOME RAINWORTH DEVELOPMENT

Northern Trust Land Ltd has supported housebuilder Honey in bringing forward a major new residential development in Rainworth, near Mansfield, following the sale of a parcel of land to facilitate the scheme.
The development, known as Melisse, will deliver 133 new homes on land off Nightjar Way, representing a significant £40 million investment in the local area.
Northern Trust Land worked with Honey to provide and sell a parcel of land which helped facilitate the wider development, supporting the housebuilder in bringing the site forward for residential development.
Planning permission has now been secured and construction is underway, with the development set to provide a mix of two, three, four and five-bedroom homes across 17 house types. The first homes are expected to be released for sale in late autumn, with the first residents anticipated to move in during late spring 2027.
The 12.4-acre site had been allocated for housing within the Newark & Sherwood District Council local plan, providing an opportunity to contribute to the delivery of new homes in Rainworth and the wider Nottinghamshire area.
The project demonstrates Northern Trust Land's approach to working collaboratively with housebuilders and landowners to identify opportunities and help unlock land for development.

Honey has described Melisse as an important addition to its growing development portfolio across the Midlands and Yorkshire. The Sheffield-headquartered housebuilder has secured a number of sites since launching in 2022, with its developments designed around a range of house types and modern living requirements.
