NORTHERN TRUST AND SOUTH RIBBLE BOROUGH COUNCIL AGREE PARTNERSHIP TO SUPPORT LEYLAND TOWN DEAL

Northern Trust Company Ltd and South Ribble Borough Council have agreed a partnership to support the Leyland Town Deal and the regeneration of the town centre.
The agreement demonstrates the positive and collaborative relationship between Northern Trust and South Ribble Borough Council, with both organisations working together to support the Council’s wider regeneration plans for Leyland while ensuring Balfour Court continues to play an important role in the town centre. Located off Hough Lane, Balfour Court provides much-needed flexible office space for local businesses.
The area in front of Balfour Court will become part of the planned public realm, helping connect it with the wider Town Deal scheme. New parking for Balfour Court will be provided off Quinn Street, within sight of the building. Northern Trust will also make improvements to Balfour Court so that it sits well alongside the Council’s development.
Northern Trust has also supported the relocation of Leyland Market tenants to its Kings Court development on King Street.
