WITHDRAWAL OF PLANNING APPLICATION FOR HEMSBY

A spokesperson for Northern Trust commented on the decision “Following careful consideration we have decided to withdraw the planning application for the former Pontin’s site in Hemsby.
We are disappointed with the Officer’s recommendation which we believe does not recognise the benefits associated with the Hemsby Investment Fund and intend to review the application in light of views expressed by the Council and local community.
Northern Trust remains committed to identifying a viable use for the future of the site and will continue to work constructively with the Council towards a scheme which will benefit residents, local businesses and the wider tourism industry.”
