Metacre Ltd, a subsidiary of Northern Trust (www.northerntrust.co.uk) is pleased to announce that planning permission has been finalised on their site at Whyndyke near Blackpool following completion of the Section 106 Agreement.
Metacre own 36 acres of the greenfield site which forms part of the larger land holding covering 200 acres located predominantly in Flyde on the outskirts of Blackpool.
The planning permission covering the whole site includes an allocation for 1,400 new homes, 20 hectares of employment land and related development inclusive of local centres, a primary school and community facilities.

The site is located to the east of Blackpool Town Centre, on the edge of the built up area of Marton. It is contained by Mythop Road to the North, Preston New Road to the West, the M55 to the South and substantial woodland belt to the East. The site is in close proximity to the M55 motorway, providing good connections to Preston, Manchester and Liverpool
