Following an extensive marketing campaign detailed discussions have been undertaken with the local planning authority and Historic England to identify the most appropriate and most viable use for the listed buildings following which the principal of conversion to residential is agreed. Subsequently a planning application has been submitted for the conversion of the existing buildings to residential with an element of new build to serve as enabling development. Discussions with the local planning authority and Historic England have confirmed the need for 48 new build dwellings alongside the conversion of the existing building to provide 24 dwellings, providing a total of 72. Discussions are currently taking place with the Local Authority and Key Stakeholders on the application process with determination anticipated in Winter 2018.

Northern Trust are managing the sites promotion through the planning system prior to disposal.
