HISTORY
• 12 acre parcel of land allocated as recreational greenspace within the Preston City Council Local Plan.
APPROACH
• Representations have been submitted to the Preston City Council Local Development Framework process and Northern Trust have taken a pro-active involvement in the Central Lancs City development strategy.
• A consultation event has been held to engage with the local community and convas their views on the potential development site. A number of constructive comments were received and where feasible the comments have been incorporated into Northern Trust's long term strategy for development on the site.
STATUS
• Consultants appointed by Northern Trust are addressing the geotechincal constraints to assess the potential abnormal costs associated with constructing residential development on the land.
• A masterplan is being prepared to promote the comprehensive redevelopment of the site whilst providing additional and improved community recreational greenspace.
