HISTORY
• The 2 acre site formed the extended garden of 98 Kitling Greaves Lane and is located withing the urban envelope of Burton on Trent.
• Northern Trust was chosen as the succesful party to acquire the site following an informal tender process during which Northern Trust demonstrated its ability to enahnce land values through the planning process.
APPROACH
• At an early stage Northern Trust undertook a period of consultation with the Local Planning Authority to discuss the method and process to bring the site forward for development.
• Northern Trust undertook a review of the Local Authority's 5 year housing land supply and formed a strategy for the early submission of a planning application.
• Further land was acquired to improve the development potential of the site and increase the permeability of the proposed development.
STATUS
• A planning application has been submitted for 20 dwellings, the layout retains the orginal dwelling on Kitling Greaves Lane and makes use of the additional land acquired to link in with the new housing development to the north.
